All this for a King

It never ceases to amaze me.

I can talk about the craziest things imagined, from anti-abortion serial killers to the hottest trends of body modifications (I'd like to call it Artful Mutilation).

But once you utter Salvation from Sin through Jesus The Christ.... you always get a blank look like someone watching an ugly person playing 'skipp-it'.

It doesn't just stop there, you immediately get jugged by your peers by being closed minded and to be more of a 'Free Thinker' like them (all this while they wait for the 'Facebook/Myspace' page to boot up, minimizing the 'Nicekicks.com' or the latest iphone accessories possibly to catch up with the latest 'Free Thinking' trends... i mean heavens forbid them to free think for themselves).

Where am i getting at?

Well, everyone already knows an idea of who this Jesus Christ guy is, not because they actually read the Bible, but because they were told it by Friends of friends that a family member read on the internet of someone else interpretation. That is if they even cared enough to even go that far, its easy enough just sit and watch the 'History Channel' to read and summarize the Bible for us anyway right?

Now back to my situation, I share this notion that God made a way for us to be made Right with him through his Son and I get the same response as everyone else, "yea Jesus came and Died for our Sins, I already believe that," but when i ask what about Christ and who is he, i get that look again, the ugly 'Skipp-it' look, and they backpedal to the whole, "Thats your belief/religion, all we can do is do our best here and stay faithful, it doesn't matter if you are Christian/Catholic/Muslim/Jew".

This is the problem, information is out there but is it applied. Unless the information is Accepted/Applied/and then placed in action all it is merely an 'Idea' forever floating around in the stream of other ideas, only being pulled out as a conversation peace.

Always test your 'Beliefs' to what the Bible says, and find out if it is Truth.

Is Jesus really God? what so special being Gods Son? What makes me a Catholic? and the big question, why do I need to be 'Saved'?
